major service

Featured Replies

Hi

Ive not had my vrs for long and its done 29k and running sweet as a nut. It was lasted service at skoda on 26k which was a intrim. Is it worth doing a major service done any time soon. Im thinking of getting pollen filter, air filter, fuel filter, plugs, brake fluid and a dsg service done and anything else ive missed. I know its over kill but its piece of mind for me. Plus i was thinking of taking it awesome gti and woundering will my warrenty still be vaild. I still have 1 year manuf and 2 year extended. What do you reckon and advice welcome. Thanks

I think pollen and air filter get done on 2nd service. Plugs being advised by guys on here @ 30k if not sooner. With the Brake flud guys are getting changed after 3rd service and i dont think its covered by service plan. Have a look at the hand book and see whats been changed and what hasn't on previous services.

Dsg is classed as a sealed for life unit and also is a dry clutch system, these units are pretty rock solid dont know if they have fulid to change.

I think it will be fine to get awesome gti do the service aslong, aslong they use to skoda/vag oem parts, you will be covered by manuf warranty
