No, that was about another first time post that has been removed.

  • Why would he be a troll?!Great post robocoprs and even better English!

  • Don't be too hard on the guy as he speaks better English than we do his language.   He is obviously very proud of his Yeti, but maybe thinks that UK Yeti owners are all members of the "go faster" yo

  • Oh no. It was all going so well before that badge appeared.

Swipe me robocoprs that's a lot of pics!

thanks for that, most interesting.

didn't see many of the interior.

did you say gobi fabric when you meant gobi leather.

or is there a variation in you country that allows fabric rather than leather.

just curious.

When I was buying my car, there was an option to buy leather fabric in this variant. This is one of the things which I didn't want to buy, actually I didn't want leather seats, seat heaters, sunroof, start/stop button and automatical parking system.
Interior wasn't changed from it's factory state except from a few devices but they have nothing to do with regular usage and regular driving (anti-radar detector "kobra", camera etc.).
Btw, on my insisting factory made a test on eletric system of my vehicle with my package of equipment (of driver's electric seat system), because I noticed that my battery is losing power. They concluded that the electric system on driver's seat is powered on even if the car isn't running so they made a correction with the software which was done through "service action" of software update.

Looks like the Ghobi Alcantara option to me (in his photos), also available in the UK (on the Elegance FL at least).

My apologies!

Good point Truthseeker, I think that used to be an (expensive) option on the SE as well.

I'd have preferred alcantara to leather if it was an option on the Elegance

Alcantara - something else I specced on my cancelled FL Elegance.

Missing it already without even taking delivery.

Hi  Robocoprs,  nice lot of work you have done. Thanks for sharing your work.

It's great to see brighter lights/bulbs fitted, they must be easy to see in bright sun (for other drivers) That means other drivers can't say they did not see you.

Did you get any Can-Bus errors with the LED's?

  • Author

The front parking lights are LED, and no mistake. DRL LED reports an error, which I corrected with the parallel installation of lights in the space under the hood of the engine. The cabin has a LED, and is not under the control of the ECU. Cree LED does not report an error. LED bulbs for license plate report an error, and must be corrected with VCDS-Long Code Helper, changes in 17 byte-7 bit.

Getting ready for the spring.

First I went to have my tyres measured with digital manometer resizeofimg0932.jpg (TPM), checked tyre's depth tn1941.jpg After that, detailed washing & polishing.

Here is how it looks after:

After washing and polishing, today a small update to a designated service (because it is required to install the pattern, which of course I do not have  ):

img20140401135256.jpgimg20140401134326.jpgimg20140401135355.jpgimg20140401135404.jpgimg20140401134929.jpgimg20140401135050.jpgimg20140401140756.jpgimg20140401140809.jpgimg20140401140836.jpg

I worked on the installation, but there was no one to take pictures :(

Hi robocoprs,

Very nice. One very special Yeti.

Where do you get time to go to work? (Meant as a joke).

I admire anyone who makes their car special/different to the normal.

Did you plan all the changes before purchase of your Yeti? Or just kept looking for more to add?

Good luck to you and congratulations on all your hard work.

Bit of a daft question; How often do you change your car, and how long do you plan to keep this Yeti?

  • Author

Hello Thingy,

I must admit that Yeti is really special.

My car is my hobby, and I think that it's clear now where I get the time to work on it :)

I also admire car owners who make their car special/different to the normal.

You can read on previous pages that I answered on similar questions to Llanigraham.

Thanks for all the kind words, and trust me it's not that difficult of a job when you work with passion.

I rarely change cars (because before purchasing I think hard about what I want and what I can) and I want to keep Yeti until something drastically better shows up, according to my criteria.

Finally arrived:

As it is, or the like, should look after installation:

I still think how to connect the camera and the Columbus-wired or wirelessly.

Small upgrade(sleeper wakes):

Oh no. It was all going so well before that badge appeared. ;)

What can I do, that's the official international abbreviation for my country (Republic of Serbia) ;)

That's ok then. I thought you were trying to create a model that doesn't exist. Thats as bad as it gets in my book. ;) So how did the camera installation go? :)

  • Author

I was at automechanic yesterday and I made a deal for exact date when we're going to install the camera, probably by the end of next week. It was estamated that installing the camera will take about three to four hours because installing has to be done extremely professional. I won't miss a chance to upload the photos when it's done.
