Hi guys

I'm new on here after recently getting myself a vrs mk1

I wanted to ask advice about hid's. Been looking for a good while for some now and can't seem to decide.

I've been reading all the theads on here regarding hid kits and can't seem to find any advice on choosing some.

A

H4 hi/low beam ones, but all the ones now have a single element bulb but with a magnatised system to adjust between hi and low.

I wanted to know if any one has had these, If they actually work, if they fit correctly as they have a massive back part to the fitting and if I should get 35 or 55w

There are plenty of cheap ones on eBay and even amazon. To be honest regardless of price they all look the same with a metal shield over it allowing it to adjust

Any advice to help me would be highly appreciated

Ive got one. You can just about get the light covers on if you cram everything into it.

I fitted LondonColour H7 4300k/35w to my dipped beam.

 

Don't get "Canbus friendly" ones, get the normal ones and have a look on the VCDS owners map for someone to code the car for them.

35w. I originally got 8000k but have since changed to 6000k

Thanks for the advice. I've found some h4 2 hid kits online and considering buying them, they are low hid and hi halogen.

Thinking these May be better as they'll fit better

What's you thoughts on these?
