New owner introduction

Hi all,

Been lurking the forum a while whilst I've been trying to sell my old car in favour of buying an Octy 2.

I finally got shut on Saturday and headed straight out to view one I'd had my eye on on autotrader and am now the very pleased owner of a 54 plate octy 2 elegance with 82k on the clock. :-)

It drives really nice. One or two little niggles to sort out, some I've already read up on and some I'll probably be posting separate topics on soon!

Namely, wind noise at speed from rear passenger quarter panel, cruise control doesn't seem to work (should there be a symbol that comes on on the dash when it's switched on?) Have already tried cleaning the stalk switch contacts.

And keys - firstly it only came with one so I need another one producing; second, the key I've got is totally useless remotely - have to practically touch it on the Windows before it will work - have already tried a new battery in it.

Toying with the idea of a cheap vcds off ebay too, any thoughts or experience of which to get?
