passat key stolen

Featured Replies

Needing help my mates car key has been stolen from his house and his wives they stole her car but left the passat so tonight i used vagcom and deleted all the keys from the car. The key he has then wouldnt unlock the car so programed it back in and it locks and unlocks again first question will the other key not unlock the car now? I then deactivated the remote central locking because the key they have stolen doesnt have the key blade in it only the one he has so now he has to take the cover off the handle and use the plastic blade to unlock it. So after that i turned the key unlocking to not deactivate the alarm so when the car is unlocked and the door opened the alarm goes untill the key it put in the key hole incase they do unlock the car its not an ignition barrel hole fob goes in. Second question is there anythin else i can do to stop it being stolen.and third can i change the imobiliser coding so the stolen key can no longer start the car since it cant open the car now but can still start it.

using vag com to delete the remotes, will disable both keys

The adaption of the remaining remote key will allow access to just that key

however, the stolen key will still start the car.

Yeah thats the problem im having but hopefully now with the alarm going everytime the cars unlocked he can hear it if someone does try to take it. Can vag com be used to do anything with the imobiliser so the other key cant work

You could fit a steering or wheel lock to either delay or stop them taking it,
