clutch not fully disengaging

Featured Replies

it's happening for 3 months progressively from bad to very bad

I have to fight pushing the lever in 1st gear, second gear is also hard to select,3rd and 4th are allmost ok.Reverse is the worst ,sounds crunchy and violent.

Clutch is engagind very low on the floor.

If I stop the engine, the lever glides into gears.

My clutch has 48.000km and I used it gentle and responsable.Car is 150 hp stock.

Linkage alignament was done 4 times.

I will try bleeding it.Fluid was replaced few months ago.

Anyone had that issue?Isearched on other forums and I read about people who replaced the clutch kit, master cylinder and the problem remained on.

Try bleeding it if it is ok for a while then goes again I'd say slave cylinder is goosed.

I was thinking the same. The pedal is too soft, the first half travel feels loose.

I'm a bit worried,I'm not ready to fit another clutch

Chances are you'll need a new slave cylinder as they don't like being bled. Don't use the pump the pedal method to bleed as the seal usually inverts if you do.

Mine did this on and off for a while. I replaced slave cylinder and its never done it since. I can't see it being the clutch after that mileage. I'm presuming the clutch was fine after replacing it.
