Coilover adjusting

Featured Replies

Ok. Went out for a nose again today

Car is settling well

But the front driver is still sat closer to tyre than the passanger

Not by much.....

The passenger side is prob 3-4 turns lower now ( ive lost count :D

Is this just how weight is distributed in each corner ?

Ok it may also be to do with the drive and garage as now it is pulled out onto the drive theres even less difference

The garage i thought would be pretty level tho

Its not had much use ahain since putting the wheels on so maybe after some use it will all bed down :)

Ive also read that kw front max drop is 65mm and rear is 75mm unlike the fk and such thst go 100-120 lol

Ive never tried to use how the tyre looks like in the arch. Always measured the height of the spring platform from the base of the shock. Or from something that is hardware and identical each side.

Like you say you will almost never be on level ground or perfect weight distribution.

Never had an un even looking car by doing it this way,if it is then i would say something else might not be right.

To set them up perfectly Coilovers need corner weighting dude.

I just counted the threads on each one until I was happy with how it sat

Yeah its even threads on the rear

Its just the front that r uneven now

Handy with a stretch as can measure from rim lip to arch lol

Its only a few mm but hey :D it means i can wedge more of a finger in ( ooo er )

So this anoys me lol

But not for long lol
