Parting is such sweet sorrow ....

Featured Replies

I am sure you have found mytiguan.com but I didn't find them quite as engaging as the characters on here.

Same on most other owners forums, that's why I still follow this one as I do find the comments/stories/debates very stimulating, and one need to keep the old brain box active in later years.

I nearly went for the Tiguan (also a long delivery), and was my second choice after the Yeti.

Anyway, enjoy the car/caravan.

Well it is here ... it is very nice.

It has park assist as standard which I didn't realise ... scary bit of kit! lol

Yes have found my tiguan ... but as you say a bit lifeless compared to here.

Iain, all the more reason to stay on here with the other (fellow) R-Line Tiguan owners then!

How are you finding the ride compared to the Yeti? I've known a couple of owners go form a Tiguan to a yeti but not either way round, congrats. :)

The ride is firmer, but mine is the R Line.  Rides more smoothly over the many speed bumps we have hereabouts I have to say.

Enjoy the Park Assist. I love mine.

It's scary!

The R line I drove was diabolical - it was on bigger 18's or 19's however and it ruined the ride quality (and generally I don't mind a firmer ride). Glad yours is a comfy one. Good looking little crossover in R line spec. :)

The previous R-Line had 19" wheels but the present one (Jan 2013+) comes with 18".

I came from a FL Octavia VRS so was used to quite firm suspension and thought the Tiguan was about the same. Obviously it doesn't hug the road as well in the corners but it's a different beast in that respect so I wouldn't really expect it to. Maybe I need to add some of your upgrades! ;)
