Featured Replies

Ok...... Wtf

I just wound the back down another turn each side ( wound both same way - clockwise if were above them )

Now my rear drivers is 5mm higher than the passangers

And the front the drivers is 5mm lower than the drivers lol

Whats this sorcery ?

So i want front pass down 5mm

And rear drivers down 5mm

Ok so after some googleness

It seems alot of people say not to just count threads or assume equal turns will help make arch gap even ??

Eeh ?

Mines the same Lloyd. Plus my fronts do it as well! So each corner is different on mine. I'll b watching this 2 see if any1 has some good advice.

My plan friday ( hopefully )

Is whack the rear drivers down a turn and see what happens

And then see if theres any threads left to wind the front pass down

Maybe theres just more weight in those corners or something

Bags :D that will solve it lol

Put everything on their lowest then as the old song goes ...the only way is up :)

Awesome :D

It needs cornering weighting to get bang on. No 2 corners will be the same ;)

So if i just go for winding the high corners down for now then :D

Best bet is get a small tape measure and measure the base of coil over to the platform and go from there. Some times the threads can start higher up or lower down in the strut

Also you need to be looking from the same side when you count the threads as if you look at the rear "driver" side staring at it from left side this is not the same as then staring at the "passenger" rear side from the right side of the coilover(jez I hope that makes sense)

but as other said a lot can depend on weight distribution over the car.

Mine was almost spot on though

A properly corner weighted car will never be equal heights on the coilovers ;-)

He is just doing it to anoy me im sure :D

^^this

If you want it level across the axle.

Measure from centre of the wheel to centre of the arch with a tape measure (after suspension has settled).

Done.... On level ground its nye the same :)

Out of threads on the front passangers lol

But its had a new insert so maybe its abit firmer

Rear drivers is pretty much down to, maybe a turn left lol

Both rears are like 25 inches of the floor

Fronts are 34.5

I do believe im at my kw limits

Looked it up and kw is max 65 drop

Weitecs tend to be 50cm

So unless indown grade to fk or such its where its now gna live :)

And works at fine as it just skims the center exhaust bracket getting on/off the drive

The camber does hide where the top of the tyre sits tho

You can always remove the rear platforms ;)
