What do I do next

Featured Replies

Hi Folks

Been on the site for years and bought and sold a lot if stuff .

My problem is I've come up against a member who I've bought an item from and I've not yet received it ( apparently posted on 28/11/13) and I'm not getting any replies to messages I've sent .

Where do I go from here .

Regards whoosh

Is the member you speak of on here? If so first things message an admin. If you paid by bank transfer then ring your bank, of PayPal then I would drop them an email. How and who did they post it?

It's one reason we advise never to gift payments unless you know the other member 100%

As a matter of interest where about the in the land would this member reside?

Good luck getting anything if he's like some other ex-members on here. I was left £120 out of pocket for being too trusting. :(

FYI, and not defending anyone, even first class post has been taking as much as 6 days from A to B since August.

Yip thought about that but sent a package to a member on here on 4/12/13 and it got there 5/12/13

I would never pay by gift as a matter of princepal. Just offer to pay the extra 3.8% or whatever the rate is now on paypal. Saves you a big headache like this in the future.

Hope it gets resolved soon as this site is a very good place for people to buy and sell.

Did they say what service was used?  Some are 2 days to a week.

I've been told Royal Mail 1st class posted 2 days ago .

Might be time to put name on the the saints or sinners in the for sale section

Hold out for a little while yet then.  First class is known to take longer, and sometimes if the person has put what they think is enough stamps for a 1st class, and it turns out to be under, it will arrive in 2nd class time and you'll probably end up paying the difference + £1 handling charge. :)

The royal mail always get arsey at this time of year and

start dragging their feet... They hate it when their cushy little

union regulated number actually turns into a proper job of work.

Think yourself lucky they aren't on strike, mind you it's not two

weeks from christmas yet... There's still time.

I'm waiting for an eternity ring to be made for Mrs Gs christmas

present, it's due to be completed on the 20th and will be sent

special delivery by the diamond house. I suspect that Mrs

Grr will be empty handed on christmas day largely due to the

Royal Fail, I doubt 4 days is going to be long enough for their

infrastructure to get a package from Hatton Garden to Bristol

I mean it's all of 3 hours away.

Just can't put my finger on it.

It's just not how I like dealing with people .

Poor contact and not kept up to date.

Think members name goes on that thread so others don't waste time and money

Thanks to all who have taken time to reply
