Bolero Headunit (with code) SOLD and Fascia

Featured Replies

Recently removed from my 2011 Octavia VRS, in great condition and full working order, supplied as the Bolero unit only with the code (provided by a local Skoda dealership).

Pictures available if needed, just ask.

Price: £130 delivered Now SOLD

I also have the original trim from the same car. It's the brushed-alloy looking trim from a VRS, suitable for the Bolero headunit.

Not sure on price... say, £25 delivered?

Any questions, just ask :)

Weekend bump :)

Might be interested, can you send a picture.

Of course, please see below pictures of the Bolero and also the fascia (inc. one that shows the brushed finish, so it's clear what type it is). Let me know if you need anything else at all :)

Do I still need to upgrade the gateway for this on my 05 plate?

I'm afraid I don't know, I don't want to guess and give you bad information. I know there are many others who have upgraded to the Bolero so it's certainly possible, but what's involved I'm not sure. Sorry!

Probably - do a search on Bolero

I just want to make sure it will fit, could you give me the dimensions.  If it will replace a Swing then it should be ok.

No problem, the Bolero is at home so I'll measure it for you when I'm back from work :)

I'll see if I can find any guides on this forum though, as I'm sure somebody will know for sure whether the Swing and Bolero are the same dimensions.

Thanks, I've had a good look around, I'm pretty certain it is the same size but just wanted to double check before buying if that is ok.

So from a quick search in the Roomster and Octavia forums, it seems as though the Bolero fitted to the Roomster is different to the Bolero fitted to the Octavia, with the Octavia Bolero being slightly wider at the top.

There are plenty of comments and guides to swapping the Swing for the Bolero in an Octavia, but less so for the Roomster, which I assume you own given your profile details :)

I'll measure it tonight so you can be certain either way though.

Many thanks, I've read different posts which say different things.  Best to measure

Dimensions... bear in mind it's slightly wider at the top than the bottom:

Top width: 255mm

Bottom width: 235mm

Height*: 127mm

*Measured at the centre point, Bolero badge downwards.

em would this just be a straight swap for my 2007 vrs with the stream mp3 and 6 cd changer?

Im really interested btw

I'm afraid I really can't tell you with any confidence. I'm sure it is well covered in the Octavia forum section as many have done the same, but I don't have sufficient knowledge to give you specific advice. It's certainly not an uncommon upgrade, that much I do know.

What a shame, too big for the gap.  Thanks so much for measuring though.

I couldn't possibly say... that's up to the buyer ;) They're not on this thread though :)
