Can anyone tell me if 170 Pdi engine is a 140 Pdi that is remapped. If not what is different ?

its not no. 

 

There are a few differences. iirc its the turbo, injectors and some other bits. 

 

The 140 doesnt have a DPF for example (unless its on a scout)

I seem to remember that it is the injectors and turbo. There might be a few other small differances but nothing major iirc.

 

What ryan says about the dpf it true.

Different camshafts as well.
