Got used Columbus navigation 3T0 035 680 E - what does that mean?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Iøm trying to understand what the model number on my new present means?

Is this the latest model (which I was actually told)?

Anything that is different on this from other models?

Thanks for all answers!

I believe that it is something to do with when the head unit was maufactured. I think that yours is the latest version.

It is certainly a pretty new one.  Does it tell you the firmware and map version too?  Firmware is a 4 digit number probably beginning 4 or 5, maps also 4 digit beginning 7.

:) not unpacked yet as I want to make sure its the one i want first:)

Thanks for the quick answers!

Seems to be a fairly new one, the sticker on the side should tell you the date of manufacture. If I remember correctly the 035 680 part is telling you it is a Columbus, the 3T0 says it was originally meant for a Superb and the E is the hardware version. The higher the letter the better as it will be a later revision and more likely to accept any firmware revisions if you want to put that on it.

Mine was originally a 1Z0 035 680 A before I downloaded a newer firmware package onto it. Now the version info screen shows it as a 3T0 035 680 A.

If you want to do a bit more research go to the "my-gti.com" website. There seems to be quite a bit of info on there.
