MTEC Bulb warranty

Featured Replies

O/S/F drl gone already after 3 months :(

Anyone know if they have a warranty on them so I can replace it with them?

Pretty poor if you ask me.

I wondered about longevity with these bulbs tbh

Good job they are only £7 a pair and not as expensive as Osrams etc.

Think it might be worth ordering another pair for spares

Regarding the warranty, have you looked on hid website?

Good luck with that....

Unfortunately a side effect of brighter bulbs will be they dont last as long, altho 3 months is a bit poor.

Back when i had Nightbreakers in my Fabia - they failed after about a year, within 2 days of each other!

Although three months does indeed seem poor, it's not the length of time you've had them fitted...it's the total time they've been illuminated that counts.

If you've been driving 24/7 , then three months is quite good!

I'd give the place you got them from a shout. Even at 7quid a pair 3months is still pretty poor.

I've kept my originals in the boot and thankfully it's a doddle to change.

3 months is pathetic ,luckily I still have the original bulbs just in case.

HiD,s direct replied and gave me 2 options.

Send faulty one back

Smash faulty bulb and send them the photo of it.

I smashed it and emailed them back. I'll get a new one in the next few days :)

Good service this company.

Nice one mate :)

I have a spare set in the glove box, just to be safe :)

I guess there's always some faulty ones in a batch. Cheap enough to have some spares :)

I was going to say if they did not replace/refund, it would be poor, as they clearly advertise a 1 year warranty :)

Swmbo's were fitted Sept 13, only had about 3hrs a week use since then.

Trouble with any filament lamp is vibration/shock can kill them especially if illuminated at the time like DRL's are.

Yes very true. It started to flicker at first then gave up. The sidelight worked ok though but as you say the drl is on constantly.

I'll get another pair for spare as I can't stand the original dim bulbs.

Just put the MTEC,s back in. Happy now :)

Must be the most easiest bulbs to change so far.

Agree, they are a doddle to change.

Plenty of space with the mini engine...

Far cry from my Fabia vRS days

I remember my mark 4 golf that was a pain to change the bulbs. A bumper off job. :(
