Headlight assist only over 30kp/h?

Featured Replies

Have ordered a combi 1.6 TDI 4x4 Ele. I saw somewhere that the full beam switches on automatically at speeds over 60 kp/h. And it switches off under 30 kph.

Does that mean that you only have low beam under 30 kph and even when you are stationary. I would think that it was the light conditions that would be the factor not the speed.

You can manually enable full beam and override the automatic full beam thingy.

Sent from my phone so please excuse brevity and spelling

This caught me out as I expected the beam to come on and did not as I was not going fast enough down the tight narrow lane.

I ended up putting the high beam on, where I can see this as being a good thing is down fast roads with no lighting.

If youre going under 30kph/18mph do you really need full beam? I think not.
