Black vRS with the Black Pack

Featured Replies

Someone who wants 4wd and over 200hp more.... A VRS and an RS4 are in different leagues.

It's not real ,it's only a joking exaggeration

Chill man!!

I love both cars, have ordered a vrs estate a mate has an RS4 avant, both great cars just in different ways.

Is it clean yet or does it take all day too clean Black Beauty!

Yep - all clean. Took about 2hrs. The Autoglym Lifeshine treatment made it very straightforward. Underestimated how long the octagon mesh in the front valance took to clean properly.

.....then it rained.

Always the way! Clean car then rains especially this time if year , at least the car is cleaner despite the rain :)

Done mine today, it rained about 5 minutes after i'd dried it.  It's still clean though.

Surprised how open the bottom grille is with that radiator/aircon? thing exposed to stone damage etc.

Just hope it is not an oil cooler :)

Very nice motor really looks the business, have fun keeping it black ;)

Oh and the first thing off would be the stupid ugly dealer sticker below the rear badge, I de-badge all my cars of dealer stickers in windows/bodywork etc, tend to leave the registration plates.

It's no more open than the MkII, AC condenser at the front, then intercooler and finally radiator.

Better rephrase...surprised how it appears to expose the various radiator/intercooler things in the lower grille to potential stone damage.

Hope that picture was public, found it on images page of Google?

Need to take a look at mine but the mesh seems a lot bigger but maybe the angle :)

These are all good points actually. If you look at my first image in this thread, you can clearly see the Adaptive Cruise sensor and what looks like the radiator.

I'd like to think they've been designed to be very resilient to flying debris like stones. I guess time will tell. Hope the warranty covers it if it does get damaged.

No the warranty won't cover any impact damage, just in the same way as a stone hitting the windscreen wouldn't be repaired under warranty.  But i've had plenty of cars with radiators exposed in the same way and never had one damaged.

Do you have auto boot open / close with a touch of a button?

I don't, no.

Very attractive. We don't have the vRS down here yet & Skoda Oz responded to my enquiry with corporate blather when I asked in which 1/4 of '14 will it be released, not giving any details whatsoever.

Interesting in that with Skoda sales slipping here for 12 months, you'd think that they'd jump at any potential sale. PSA are the same too & their sales are through the floor.

Anyhow, what is the "Black Pack" ?

Thanks & Cheers

Gloss glack grille surround instead of chrome, gloss black door mirrors and glass black roof rails for the estate.

Looks amazing!

I have the same colour spec on order.

First proper pics on a black/black I've seen so far!

I have a picture of this car on my phone to make my wait easier...

That looks very well indeed.

As an aside a 4x4 vRS even with 220hp would be perfect but I can't see VAG allowing that, at all, ever, never, lol

Thanks Neily03. I doubt we'll get such an Option. I'm considering TSW BROOKLANDS wheels in matte black for whatever colour I choose.

Cheers

There was a prototype at Goodwood during the festival of speed, with audi suspension and 400bhp. I didn't win the competition to drive it though.

Excellent photos of a lovely car btw :)

Very nice!

"if only to help prospective buyers decide whether they like it or not"

Well, I'm just about to place my order and my colour choice has been changed to black as a result - so thanks for the timing!

It will be my first Skoda, but it will be a manual vRS TSi estate too, so I hope it will look just as good!

Great post folks.

Think I may have changed from green to black after seeing this.

Going in for an estate with canton, leather, the bigger nav, sunset, cruise, and some other toys.
