Octavia 140PD 2010 - DPF?

Featured Replies

My car is a 140 PD 2010. Does it have a DPF fitted? Spec in brochure says not but can anyone clarify please?

Yes it does have one. They don't cause that many issues on the CR engines though.

But the OP states that he has a PD engine car. Have a look at the build sticker in the service book or spare wheel well. You will find a load of 3 digit codes in the bottom half of the sticker. I'm not sure where it will be but you should find a code which is either 0GG or 7GG, the former says your car does not have a DPF the latter says it does.

The Mk2 Octavia 4x4 has a different engine to the 2 wheel drive version, which came with a DPF, mine is a 2 wheel drive and does not have the DPF.

The above website is an option decoder for the 3 digit codes on the build sticker, I and many others have used it and it seems to be good.
