Tracking internet usage on wireless?

Plusnet don't do caps anymore as such - they now go on about contention ratios -
Another  for plusnet - if you are migrating it's free and then a one-off charge to re-grade to the maximum your line can stand (up to 2Mb) of
Looks like PlusNet aren't as white as they could be -

I read Tiscali are doing the same.

My line will support downloads of around 230k/s, but it's very rare to get close to that... so if plus throttle p2p traffic a bit, it's not a big problem. I use different ports for BT as well, which may or may not help :)

I think wherever you go nowadays there's always going to be some sort of cap, fair usage agreement, etc, waiting in the wings to get you if you download 24/7 and use more than your "fair share" of bandwidth...

Pipex have introduced a FUP as well, I think you are right Steve they are all at it.

I'm on the 1Mb Premier and regularly see d/l speeds of 110kbps on bittorrent.

What tracker do you use? Need a new one after loki et al went under... :)

Back on the subject of broadband... ADSL guide has a nice listing tool to see what's out there. Plenty of largish companies with generous caps or who are fairly forgiving when it comes to how much you download...
