Featured Replies

My esp light will not come on I have Tryed holding the button in for a few seconds but still nothing how Do I fix this and does it mean that I can't turn off my traction control?

Do you have esp or just asr?

Does the light come on when you start the car?

Esp the button next to the reAr window demister.theres no light on the dash at all n av Tryed holding it in for it to come on to let me know that the traction control is off

You should just press it, not have to hold it.

The asr/esp light should come on briefly when you start the car.

Well Tryed all that and still nothing mate car drives fine apart from that.

Check the fuse? Failing that get it scanned with VCDS.

Just realised that the button says Asr and not esp sorry lol does that make any diffrence?

It means you only have traction control not full blown esp, but the button should work in exactly the same way.

So how do I fix the problem.and why would it stop working any ideas

My button in the Golf does not put a light on or do anything as I coded it out with VCDS, maybe the previous owner disabled yours?

In VCDS you can check it.

Have you checked the fuse? If the fuse is ok then you need to get the car scanned for fault codes with VCDS.
