What battery for a Fabia?

Featured Replies

My eight year old Fabia would not start this morning and as the battery is closed in I have no idea what brand it is so I wonder if anyone knows what battery I should go for.  I realise that there maybe something that made the battery go flat but if after I charge the battery its obviously dead then I will have to buy a new one and I would like to get what is recommended.

It has the following printed on its top:

12V 44 AH  220 A DIN 360A EN?SAE

23 views and no one knows.  Obviously I picked the wrong forum.

give it a chance, you'd put this in the felicia/favorot section, so i moved it over to fabia world, all the info you need is above.. if i recall that would be a type 063 battery from memory, but any decent motor factors or battery supplier can confirm this, i tend to go for varta or bosch batteries, they are a little more expensive but they last out well

What engine do you have to start with?

How can the op expect a response when he's only given

half the information?

Go on the euro car parts website . . Put your reg plate in . . This will give you an idea, then research using the info found on there. . .

I say research because for the vrs they have only one battery listed, which is incorrect as the later blt engined vrs has a different size battery and is listed under the 2ltr petrol fabia.

Id go for a 12V one if i were you ;)
