HI :)

Featured Replies

hello, new to this forum.  Own mk1 2003 octavia vRS 1.8 20vt with 97800 miles in silver had thisfor a while now.. let me first say what a cracker of a car it is, SOOOOO underestimated in every way, not something you see every day or to even consider buying but so glad i did.  came with lots of new bits and bobs such as a carbonio induction kit upgraded side mounted all alloy intercooler, uprated boost hoses, and other silicone hoses, forge 007p DV blue flame turbo back with sports cat exhaust system.  Along with all this in the last 7000 miles its had a new timing belt, water pump, clutch DMF CSC, coil packs, driveshaft oil seals, turbo fully checked over in A1 condition, turbo to exhaust gaskets new tyres discs and pads all round and most of this was done at a VW garage.. i even went the extra length to have cruise control retro fitted as well, best £150 i have ever spent lol

i do how ever need a little help.. time has come for me to give up this beautiful car :( and i am having trouble pricing it correctly ( i do not want to infringe any rules here just don't know exactly what its worth as i strait swapped it for my old car) ones of similar age with 33k miles more are holding from £1300 to £2000 but ones exactly the same range from £1300 to £3000!!  I put it up for £2350 thinking this is what i can work out it is worth and have since had negative comments saying " book " price is only £1780 we all know this is a guide but the average joe who just has a car to drive dosent know this lol

so please some one help me on what to put it up for for a quick-ish sale without doing my self out of money

not trying to sell my car on this as i know i'm not a paid member, just looking for some advice…

cheers for your time :)

Kyle
