Back Box for the VRS

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

I would like my VRS to sound a little bit meaner and want to get a back box fitted to do so :) I don't want to buy a full Miltec exhaust system as don't want to spend that much and i'm not looking to get any extra performance out of it.

Would it work if I just got a universal back box? Has anyone done this before and have any recommendations?

Preferably want to keep the dual pipe look at the back :)

Would I look like too much of a **** (insert word of preferred choice here) if I changed it to anything louder?

Thanks

Have the smaller box removed thats before it, still discrete until you boot it and about £30 labour ?

As stated remove centre silencer havent done it yet.

You can buy centre pipe from website but look about £100 mark before fitting

I've had my silencer removed because I wanted some more noise but didn't want to £500+ on a milltek. It cost me £65.

It sounds miles better, with no real noise intrusion at motorway speeds either, the dsg gear change sounds beautiful haha I've got some videos on my instagram as I'm not sure if you can put videos on here..

As above

Cheers guys, exactly what I was after :) I'm guessing that this will affect my warranty??...might have to wait a while...

Nope it will be fine with warrenty (except on exhaust parts) i had warrenty work done on mine with it like that

My silencers outer skin has started to peel quite badly, had an advisory on the MOT and just had a good chunk come off in my hand. It's down to the crap I have to drive through in work, anyone know of any stainless steel alternatives around that won't cost the planet?

Try contacting Longlife exhausts.  They can custom you up most things.
