Tyre size on 19"s

Featured Replies

HELP!!

Ready to pull the trigger on some new 19"s.

Will 235's rub with coil overs set to around 30mm??

Should I retain the 225/40/19 with just going a inch bigger on new rims.

To add - 2010 VRS CR TDI Hatch

Need to go with a 35 profile on a 19, keeps the rolling radius the same. A 225/35 would be best.

Thanks buddy may have some Neptunes in a few weeks will let you know

I won't fit 235/35 as I did this to my Passat and they were rubbing with coilovers on. I recommend you fit 215/30/19 fronts, and 225/30/19 on rear. That's what I'll be doing on my Octy VRS next year.

I'm pretty sure you can't buy a 30 profile 19 in that width.

Plus with only a 30mm drop a 225/35 will be loads more practical.

Mind telling the width and ET of the rims also? It has some effect on will they rub or not.

I thought you can buy 235/30/19. What Ali_Cat said..

Michelin sell a Pilot Super Sport 235/30/19 - but it is the wrong size for your car.  Price around £220 EACH on Camskill and Mytyres!  £263 (fitted) at ATS.

I ran 235/35/19s on my wheels during the summer, car is lowered on coilovers and had no rubbing at all,

It will depend on your wheel choice, width and offset?

Put the order in 3dsm 0.01 with 225/35/19 Falken 453 and some Weitec Hicon GT coil overs.

Will fit suspension in the new year and get wheels nicely sealed up for Spring.
