The man with no aim

Featured Replies

Hi

I am Tony & I've been running a 2005 TDI 2.0 PD 6 sp. for about 5 and a bit years now.  Nothing to much done to it, a tuning box from chipexpress, pipercross panel filter, drilled & slotted discs and RedStuff pads.  Its been good but, its just about to blow its second turbo.

What has taken you so long? Welcome :)

Well, I didn't think I needed a Skoda forum till now, I got the Mk2 in May 2008, stuck the bits mentioned above on it and was happy as a little sandboy untill recently when the second turbo got a little oily and wife said get a new one, they're interest free, she an accountant.  I naturally thought I just get another TDI 2.0 manual till a mate in the trade said "test drive back to back the TDI manual and a 1.4 pertol DGS".  Now I really like how smooth the petrol is but, I've got a big right foot & being a postman, I get to drive some very clear roads especially on my way to work hence, I probably need the TDI.

Therefore, I've got lots of questions that I need some informed opinions on and with the likely cutoff date of the 31/12/12 for the interest free finance, not a lot of time to make my mind up hence, I just joined.
