Car Overheating Question

so you observed the fan airflow direction is wrong after it stopped working?

I am already dazzled by the logic but let us know why was it working backwards...

Well some months ago i did a full restoration project on it.

Originally it  was a glx model with a 1.3 carb engine..

basically as i was restoring it, i found a combi that was being taken apart that had a 1.3 mpi engine and power steering...  soooo i ended up changing the engine, steering, harness(i.e. the whole wiring) etc

The problem was that the combi did not have a radiator because it had already been sold... so i used the one that my car had. which means that while i was wiring the fan, i switched the fan's polarity and it was pushing instead of pulling.

I had already noticed the air flow but it passed through my mind especially since i had found 2 bolts that where loose from the cylinderhead making me think that the head gasket was blown.

Anyways here is now the new fitted radiator fan! :D

In my opinion its a better radiator fan too because it pulls more air.

Haha sorry now i understood why you got dazzled XD...

basically i had observed it before and i checked it with the new fan that i had... that is how i found out the direction of the air flow..

anyways i already explained it in the other 2 posts

Well sometimes its good to sweat a little :P keeps your skin young and fresh haha.

Jokes aside, I had mentioned in some other posts that i was and had restored the car.

Even then i dont think that you would have thought of the fan because you would have assumed that i used the felicia radiator/ fan and that i would have just plugged it.

Anyways today i drove it around Malta with a couple of friends from the skoda club and the temperature never rose above the middle of the gauge and the fan starts and stops as it should!

The only problem now is that it sounds like a turbine when it turns on haha but i dont mind it as long as it does its job.
