Clutch or dmf

Featured Replies

Hi all I've had my octaiva vrs for a few months now and the clutch is slipping I got the clutch changed under warranty but it's still doing it the garage that changed it took the slave off to see if it was that and it still slipped so I spoke to Brian at jabba sport and orderd a g60 fly and a vr6 clutch . Just asking people if they have had the same problems or if anyone can shed some light on this would be great many thanks

Adam

The dual mass flywheels can become seized and cause a few issues the g60 and vr6 combp is tried n tested :)

Ok thank you buddy

Was the old clutch worn out?

Surely if the new clutch is slipping there must be a fault somewhere with the clutch and/or fitment?

worn dmf and play in the surface plan will make the clutch to slip

Long story the turbo shaft had snapped and the head had melted so I put another engine in and the garage said might as well change the clutch so I got that done and the first 2 days was fine pulled fine every gear but then it started to slip told the garage they said they will change it under warranty then that clutch was slipping too even from the start that's when they said it might be the dmf so I thought il up grade them both and change to a single fly . Just a bit of a headache but hopefully it will be sorted by end of the month

Thanks for you're input

Adam

Did you bed the new clutch in?

No I was told that it wasn't needed but to be on the safe side I will when the g60 fly and vr6 clutch go in
