Major service due

Featured Replies

Took the car in to the dealer for an MOT last week, they very kindly loaned me a courtesy car for the day which was a Rapid. Very nice car apart from the 1.6 diesel unit. I bet they're great with the 1.2 tsi. Anyway I've been informed that my front brakes are 85% worn and the guys can do it at the service which I hope to get sorted after the new year. Trouble is it's £250 for the service + £45 to change the brake fluid, then £262 to replace the front discs and pads. That's an awful lot of money just after xmas.

Hi AndyP

It's indeed a lot of lolly!

Best think of it as an investment and not a cost - still has the same effect on your bank balance but may help your mind to accommodate it all.
