Potential fix for Stage 3 - Loba Hybrid Turbo

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Just a little post for anyone who might be thinking of pushing big power from their vRS at some point.

Most of you who have will have probably read vRSy's build thread and seen the difficulty stage three presents in terms of misfires.

Well I have been keeping tabs on comings and goings on SCN and it looks like one of the Ibiza owners is having the Loba modified to try to solve the misfire issue and is hoping to push the Loba to circa 300bhp. :o

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=392461 might need an SCN account to view

For me this is really interesting news as the gains Stage I to Stage II just at the minute aren't enough to have me overly tempted but if it was a stepping stone to a proven Stage III Hybrid system then that might change.  Obviously there's a big dollop of wait and see at the moment but interesting nonetheless.

For novelties sake, I bring you a thread that is not about Oil, LED's, Poor Headlights etc

You are most welcome

Sparkly

Personally I wouldn't go for this even If someone offered to buy the turbo for me and do all the work for free but anyway, everyone chooses where he spends his own money, right? I'm just thinking if those people have their mind so set on overcoming the 1.4 TSI's issues, imagine where they would have been with engines like the 2.0 TSI.

But I don't own a 2.0TSI.

I have a 1.4tsi Fabia vRS

Besides if someone proves it can be done and achieve reliability, the sum total cost of Hybridising etc is no more than I calculate going K04 on a larger engine 1.8 or 2.0 VAG car would be.

Edit: also currently my car has no issues, so I technically have nothing to overcome, or at least no more than anyone from the Octy or Fabia MkI forum that tunes their car.

And some serious torque  :giggle:

I did laugh at the torque myself
