Fabia 1.4 FSIII Brake Calliper Pins

Featured Replies

Hi.

Firstly - thank you to everyone who contributes as I have had so much help fixing my sons X reg Fabia 1.4.

A while ago, I replaced the front pads and discs, no real drames except that the threaded holes in the calliper carriers (all part of the hub) that the calliper pins bolt in to were a little worn.

I am getting ready to fit new front lower arms and bushes - using the guide on here - and want to use a thread kit to reapir the threads.

My question is, does anyone know what size the thread is on the calliper pins? The callipers are the FSIII type

Thanks in advance

Matthew

Hello and welcome, you have posted in the wrong forum, so maybe try to delete this posting, you should be posting in the Fabia 1 section.

Also, as you will have guess that this has been covered in the past many times, maybe try using the "search" function when in the Fabia 1 section, I know that I've checked and have agreed with what has been posted already, but I'm lazy and a storm is brewing along with rain, so I'd rather not have to go out to the garage right now.

Maybe also take a look in the Laser Tools website as I think that they list insert kits along with suggested uses, though I could be wrong. It might be cheaper to get a main dealer to sort this as they MUST have the correct tools, you will be paying for a drill + tap + insert setting tool along with quite a few inserts that you hopefully will never need to use again.

Lots of good points. Thanks for the advice

Hum, so far no good finds, they must be there! Google did not work either so far, nor did looking on the Ibiza forum! Good luck, the facts are out there, I've seen them.
