Another Skoda Adventure...

Featured Replies

Cruising along motorway yesterday on way home from work in the Octy RS, whistling away as is the norm for me when driving (helps the concentration), when from nowhere a new Jeep Cherokee proceeds to glue itself to my chuff. I'm doing around the speed limit (I never speed  ) and this Jeep continues to stick to me like glue for about another 5 miles until we get to a roundabout, where I pull into left lane to take 2nd turnoff, jeep piles past me, hits breaks to take roundabout, so I pull out behind, give them a bit of their own medicine methinks, thinking that they would soon get the message pull over, slow down and not darken my path again, I cannot stand people who drive badly but still think they deserve to be on the bit of road I am currently occupying, needless to say the woman driving double bluffed me, booted it around roundabout, me still in tow, her oversteering like it was going out of fashion, all over both lanes of slip road back on to motorway, me doing a little over limit (purely to try and get a look at their number plate, and on a very private road), once on straight again she boots it, and thing takes off, (last I saw of her she was docking with Mir space station), clocked her doing maybe around 115-120  , absolutley took off, needless to say I was gutted, could probably have kept up but decided not worth losing licence over, just gets my goat that because I drive the car I do, people feel the need to impose themselves on me, even though I have done nothing to provoke them. Makes me want to join the fuzz and be a motorway policamen, just to catch some of the b8ggers that tailgate/speed etc would make my day...

Sometimes I wish I was a traffic cop as well (Yeah go on shoot me down now!) but some of the things I see are unbelievable! Some people need to learn to drive again!

I hate idiots who tailgate me especially those who like to do it 30mph zones :finger: However, if the 30 becomes a national speed limit - drop it into second and floor it - bye bye d*ckhead :D

Some of the idiots also never learn, they tailgate me in 30 zones and get left for dead in national speed limits - as soon as it becomes a 30 again what do I see - that idiot again driving 5 metres from my bootlid  . When that becomes a national limit, boot it again etc repeat ad infinitum whilst laughing at said idiot.

As for being a traffic cop :cop1: - instead of a laser speed trap give me a 20mm cannon - dakka dakka BOOM :hbomb: that will teach them

I should probably go back into hiding now :sofahide:

Ah...a fellow sufferer! Sometimes you feel like a criminal for staying in the limit in a built up area. Worst one for me recently was an old Metro, driven by a teenage bird complete with ball cap and mobile phone in hand (insurance no doubt optional!!) ....and she was a lot closer than 5 metres as I drove through this busy and narrow village high street. And then she went to overtake! I just choose the safe option and dart into the nearest bus stop, let the buggers go past and carry on the hope that I find them buried in a hedge a few miles further on!

You described my exact journey to site yesterday.

This guy was in a transit van behind, and in one of the 30

Had a female in a 206 swear at me as she indicated left but went right on a roundabout and I pulled out infront of her.

She proceeded to tailgate me for about half a mile before I used my hazzards and indicated left and pulled over. She half overtook me and stopped to swear at me, totally blocking the ambulance on blues and twos that I was letting passed.

She then was stuck in the middle of the road, and I shot out of its way, he had to squeeze past her on the nearside.

I did give her a slow hand clap for that one, but she's lucky I was in my personal Vrs (not my 'works' one)

STOP ABUSING OTHER PEOPLES DRIVING AND CONCENTRATE ON YOUR OWN (you know who you are!)

Must admit I've often wished I had a video camera in the car so I could push a button and record what the idiot in front is doing.

Tailgated this morning by a pretty standard furby, maybe a tdi or 1.4 or whatever, not sure, you would have thought he would have known not to mess with his own kind, I would have thought a fellow Skoda driver would have been more sensible...
