Jumping ship to Seat.

Featured Replies

The time has come to say goodbye to the trusty Fabia vRS,I have owned this car for 9 years but with needing a bigger car I've decided to buy a Seat Exeo Tech Sport Estate 143bhp,which I pick up Monday.I did look around for a Octavia vRS estate but I'm very picky when buying second hand and there wasn't many out there that caught my eye.The Seat is 9 months old and done just under 4,000 miles.I just hope the fabia goes to a good home and not a chav/boyracer.I will be still using the site and will stay a freedom member too because the site has helped me in the past with a couple of issues which were easily fixed thanks to you guys, I might even stick a briskoda sticker on the Seat too :-)

with imminent launch of the Leon ST I am guessing there should be some exceptional deals on these. They do look dated though in my opinion.

The Exeo ceased production in April this year and the Leon st is way out of my price range. If I'm honest I think I can count on one hand on how many exeo's I've seen since they were launched.Plus with having a new A4 Blackline for a day in September all I can say is the Exeo is a better car to drive and more spec too.Yes they do look dated but hey would rather pay 15k than maybe 20k+ for the Leon st :-)

Good spec on these - colleague has one and they are quite good. Not big enough for me in the back but nice all the same.

I like the Exeos

A lot of car for not a lot of money

My brothers actually just binned his car last night on the motorway. I think i'll suggest an exeo estate

I think that is part of the appeal, but I genuinely like the look of the sport tech models.

I almost bought an Exeo Sport Tech estate earlier in the year as well, absolutely superb spec and thanks to terrible depreciation great value for money at a couple of years old.  I like the look of them as I think they're subtle and understated, on the whole they feel much more like a Skoda than a Seat to me.

The estate isn't quite as practical as the Octavia due to the rear seats not folding flat (I regularly carry my bikes in the Octavia so the flat folding seats are handy) and the sliding rear cover seemed a bit fiddly but ultimately the only reason I didn't go for one was because I really didn't need it.  I do very few miles in the Octavia these days and bar a few annoyances it's running fine.

Apologies I think my post appears rude it was not my intention.

No worries loskie :-)

Good on you - as you say pretty rare car. I nearly went down the Ibiza FR route before plumping for the Fabia, but the Seat dealer was really rude to me so I just walked.

I'm Loving my Seat Leon hatch back, I think I might consider an ST next time round though

The Leon FR has rock hard suspension. That's the only thing against it IMO.

Mine isn't an FR ... Its an SE

Hardly jumping ship, I'd say it's more like swapping seats!
