Meet the new toy

I do like the chrome / silver trim on the top edge of the rubber door protectors, which stands out against the dark paint work.

I agree, maybe Superskoda could be persuaded to stock them.

first bad point to report ,,, shouldve got the electrically adjustable seats.

Finding it frustrating to get a perfect seating position,,,I'll get there in the end, but would be easier with the optional better seats

oh,,,and the armrest ,, i cant get it to stay in one of the fixed height positions

have to report both of these problems have been solved !!

took nigel (dont ask) on a good run yesterday ,,, still surprised at the grunt this thing has,,, just as fast as my octy vrs, with traction !

A brilliant brilliant car ,,,,, not many people like the colour as much as me though,, not that I care :-)

Don't worry about what people say about the colour, as the only person that matters is you (and Nigel? )......anyway I like it.

What is more annoying though, is that they actually bother to tell you - why don't people keep their negative thoughts to themselves!

Congrats kerms, nice looking thing. Colour is stunning!

I'm always amazed how many people slate a colour even though they often haven't seen one in real life. Ask me how I know...!

Welcome to the Brown Yeti Sub Section

Congrats kerms, nice looking thing. Colour is stunning!

Tend to agree on the colour, it looks a superb (no pun intended) choice and with the brown interior to match, perfect. I do like the darker colours on the Yeti, but ultimately it's down to personal choice, you obviously have taste

looks good, and those alloys have just got to be easier to clean than pre-facelift Yeti 17" Spitzbergs!

had nigel for a month now,,,,,,,

1.Biggest plus is the engine, fantastic lump which is way more suited to the yeti than the octy vrs, cant fault it.

2.Xenon lights are a revelation

3.overall build quality feels very solidly put together

4.Wish I'd gone for the electrically adjustable seat

5.Distinct lack of cubby holes, cup holders are straight from an octy, they need to be higher and deeper

6.Skoda should supply this model with the dsg box

7.Leather used for the seats is pretty high quality

8.The very expensive option of columbus plus the sound system is poor quality sound measured against the money charged , dont pay the extra its just not worth it.

But ,,,,, just short of 1000 miles and I'm still delighted with it !!!!!!!!!!!

Now we know who "Nigel" is.

Now we know who "Nigel" is.

Named after my favourite boxer ,,, he was a dark, strong, beast of a man , that would just keep going, no matter what !!

I completely agree that the CR170 works far better in the Yeti than the Octy VRS - the latter tends to scrabble a lot by comparison. Also on the xenons - never had them before, don't want to go back now!

The ordinary speaker upgrade is well worth it in my view - my first Yeti didn't have it, my second does and it sounds much better. I don't know, though, what influence the Columbus has on sound quality.
