As it is an L & K, 17"

I can see why you are well pleased - a nice early Xmas present. Colour looks good as well.

Yeah ,,, was a real leap of faith, was dreading it looking like a no2 !! But really really happy with the colour in the flesh

Gosh the alloys look quite small on it, i would tempted to go for larger rims and lower prof tyres.

170 CR engine feels so much better in this guise than in my previous octy vrs, traction off the line is brilliant. Yet to find fault with it.

Yes, the 4x4 Yetis with a bit of grunt are great all rounders and go well where performance front wheel drive cars struggle.

I can recommend the 1.8tsi- now over 4k miles and treated it to some high octane gas-the expensive shell nitro. A 280 mile round trip yesterday. For the first time I've given it some real welly and it goes like stink. The Nokian WR3s just grip like anything on cold greasy tarmac.

Terrifically secure and planted feel -if it wasn't for past (pre-yeti) experience and a nodding acquaintance with the laws of physics it feels invincible.

GREAT photo, thanks for sharing :)

They look fine to me, and no other factory option available.

Anyway, surely a larger rim/lower profile tyre would keep a similar overall wheel/tyre diameter, and a terribly hard ride.

Not necessarily it depends on what size of rim and tyre combination you go for.

Like that a lot...

Enjoy :)

Which tyres did it come with?

The L&K I saw yesterday in the Dealers showroom had Pirelli P-Zero Rossos on it.

Those exact ones mate ,,,, done just short of 500 miles on them in honking weather, so far so good, although this is my first 4x4 so the superb grip is a mixture of new tyres and new system (to me)

first bad point to report ,,, shouldve got the electrically adjustable seats.

Finding it frustrating to get a perfect seating position,,,I'll get there in the end, but would be easier with the optional better seats

oh,,,and the armrest ,, i cant get it to stay in one of the fixed height positions

Disagree - the only correct way to decrease the wheel/arch gap is to fit coil overs or lowering springs, and I very much doubt if kerms34 wants to do that to his new pride and joy (and neither would I!).

Its nice that on a forum like this an opinion can be disagreed with even if it is a personal opinion .pondering-and-thinking-smiley-emoticon.g

The Yeti is quite fidgety on 17" rims I found and much preferred the ride on 16" rims.

I have 17" AT tyres on my Freelander and my old Yeti winter tyres -215/60 on 16" rims.

The ride does seem very subjective in the Yeti.

I like mine on 17" and it's slightly more jittery now it's got the uprated H&R Gold Anti Roll Bars.

I find driving the Greenline II a bit rollypolly. :)

Although I have got winter tyres with an extra "5" in the side profile.

Same width and rim size.

Which raised the car slightly and makes the tyres fill the arches better.

I actually prefer the "look" of it like that.

Increased the rolling radius by around 2.something percent and did make the ride a little softer while keeping the 17" rims.

They don't rub, but any bigger and they would on lock as the back of the tyre is around 3mm or so from the liner rear of the wheel arch.

How it looks on bigger tyres before you get rubbing, Skoda 17" rims:

Although mine on order is not L&K I suspect all new Yetis are being delivered on these tyres. I'd be interested in reports from others taking delivery of FL Yeti and anyone who has experience of these tyres.

Fred

Mine came on the P Zeros from the factory in March 2012.

Still using them and all my track days have been on them.

Hard to fault IMO.

+1 except no track days for me :(

I do like the chrome / silver trim on the top edge of the rubber door protectors, which stands out against the dark paint work.
