Since there has been a lot of discussion about this i thought id start a poll to see if we could gather some data about the clutch click.

Obviously the more data we have the better.

Personally i'm not bothered by it. Mine doesnt appear the impede the operation of the clutch and the car is under warranty (and ill be getting a new one once its out of warranty).

So mine did it from new, but after about 1k miles it's now almost gone! It comes back now and again but I do find if I change the way I push the pedal the click either goes or gets better! Still very odd!

Good luck with getting it fixed. I have a grinding noise from my clutch, and after a few months of trying to get a fix and involving Skoda UK, here is the final decision from Skoda on the excessive clutch noise.

"The noise reported on release of the clutch pedal have been diagnosed as a characteristic of the vehicle. Skoda UK have informed us through technical product information ... that the noises are due to the design of the power unit and are in accordance with the state of the art production."

ours was silent when we got it, then went through a phase of a loud and constant click, and has settled to the occasional click

click is more felt then heard which seems to suggest a mechanical source and something catching, seems worse when clutch pushed hard down, if smooth with the clutch and not quite to floor does not occur

So far no, but I've only done 600 miles in it.

Iv done 3500 miles and don't have a click.

I do however sometimes have a squeak. Not bothered by it though

800 odd miles in and no noises here.

Just wondering, with many mentioning it sounds like a spring or click noise, has anyone tried some lubricant? Maybe some spray lithium grease or similar might help a little until a fix is found.

Just a handful of times since taking delivery in July. All happened in the space of a week or so. Pumped the pedal a few times fast then slooowly and it soon went away.

Had mine since Sept 2012 and done near on 9k now and all good, no noises, clicks, nothing but a mere rear light bulb shattering.

The only click I get is my poor old knee bones when changing gear, but that's my age.

Hope I've not spoken too soon.

Mine started doing it at about 200 miles as is doing at 1800 .it only does when it's warmed up and not all the while but I notified Skoda customer care just in.

I managed to create a click today first time ever. If I move my feet from left to right while I press clutch pedal a slight click can be heard. If I use the clutch as I normally do, I can't hear any noises. I thought this could help to determine where click comes from.

So the clutch pedal will click if it's moved from side to side?

Yes, but only from left to right. No click from right to left. I know it sounds odd. Abnormal move to me anyway. Feels like this is coming from top end of the pedal. Pivot point maybe, or close to it.
