Can't get into the used car locator, using both Firefox and IE I get the following message after entering postcode or town:

System.Web.UI.Control.OnLoad(EventArgs e) +67

System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() +35

Anyone else having problems? Or is it some quirk with my PC?

I don't think I can face that - especially as it seems to be running fine otherwise at the moment [touches nearest piece of wood]

You tried the old 'turn PC off and back on again'? :)

What versions of IE and Firefox are you using? I notice the Skoda site does have a few quirks when using Firefox (which I use all the time )

Steve

I used to have trouble getting into the Skoda site. I turned out that my Antivirus software (Norton at the time) didn't like the site and blocked access. Only way to cure it was to disable the AVS.

Graham,

Hav you got ALL the updates, and Java updates.

I get the same problem on mine Ok for dealer local searches but get the message when doing uk wide searches

If more than one person is getting this error, it may well be due to something at Skoda's end.

I'm not big into my web development stuff, but the 4th line from the end looks suspicious, where it's pointing to a C: drive location for a Windows IIS server file. I would imagine that would need a reference to the webserver it was hosted on, to work.

May be wrong though. Might be worth throwing an email Skoda's way anyway, at least detailing the error information.

Steve

the skoda UK website is utterly pants. Im forever having problems with it giving errors, on multiple computers with various browsers.

What is Firefox???? Apart from a Top Secret Russian thought Controlled Fighter :D

I'll send an email and see what happens. Don't expect much will but you never know...

I guess it must be a setting on certain machines then. Just tried it on my business machine and it's fine (apart from being on dial up lol)

My problem is now solved - I had to renew my norton internet security subscription - after downloading and installing Nortons Internet security 2005 I can now access the country wide search on the Skoda UK website without the error.

However had some problems with the Norton install and had to completely removing Norton programs using SymNRT downloaded from Nortons website before the install was successful.
