tried to take it off today mine is presumably the oem way... so theres two screws and on the inside of the boot under the black plastic two bolt things... basically how do they undo? I'm guessing the normal way but they're rusted in place?

Well i had to use a dremel with a cutting disc, took it clean off, drilled holes on the numberplate in the right postion, screw with a rubber washer and colour coded numberplate cap rubber washer+ metal one then a nut, job done.

Is it attached using plastic nut/bolts? If so, just use a screwdriver on the bolt, and a 10mm on the nut inside the tailgate.
