jabba rarb bush placement

Featured Replies

where about on the bar have you guys fitted the bushes?

mine are about 3" in from either side, but it just doesn't feel that stiff. my mate has an Ibiza with the whiteline bar fitted and his seems to be just right. am I expecting too much?

compare what else you mates has suspension wise that yours doesnt?

Exactly the same coilovers. Im polybushed all round and his is standard. The real difference is the brand of anti roll bar. But mines 3mm thicker.

I hate to write "it's all in yer 'ead", but in this case.... There should be no doubt that the Jabba bar is stiffer and does more. Might be that your polybushing is causing the effect to be masked on turn in or in transitions. Could also be tyres. Need tyres front and back with nice?!? modern, stiff sidewalls to feel the most.

im on rainsport 3's at the front so that's probably the problem, sidewalls are soft as cheese lol

hopefully it'll change when I change tires next time, I shall persevere(?)

Willl your bushes slide further out ? I have white line one but havnt seen jaba one.

the further towards the our side the car. The stiffer it will sit ;)

They will push further yes. But i assumed they didnt need to be right near the end.

I had that conversation with a friend/collegue where i said they need to be further out and he told me they needed to be further in, close to 1/4's of the axle, if that makes sense as its "to stop the axle twisting"

I explained i though he was wrong and surely it worked by shorter leverage arm(from shock point to bush) the stiffer it would be.

Thought i was right but you know when people bull**** so well that they make you doubt yourself ahaa

Your thining right :)

The longer the arm has from the bush . The more leverage it will have . So less effect it will have.

thats why white line has an adjustable arm. The longer you set the arm. The less effect it has. But as far as im concerned. You can go hard or you can go home...

There is a song in there somewhere :D

That's where mine are fitted is that ok? Also mine is on the 1st hole at the end of the bar is that the stiffest setting? Someone told me it was but one of these posts makes it sound like it's the one furthest in on the bar. I'm doubting which one I've actually got it on now I will look tomorrow!!

Edit im sure I've got it on the 3rd hole in so that is right for the stiffest setting isn't it?

The hole on the tips of the bar are softest. The further in. The harder.

Also depends on your driving style/tyres/ suspension

Mine is on the stiffest I had a mind block as to where I set it to

Ohh. The propper setting :D

Stiffest

If your rear tyres are any good, swap them with the Rainsports. Rainsports are "entertaining" on the rear axle. :)

Vriedresiet sportac 5's
