Happy new year to you sparkly & one & all

My New Years resolution is to start to do same mod on my car now I know the new engine is working ok

Happy New Year to you too Sparkly and everyone else here on Briskie.

Vrs owners by law should not be looking at mpg figures on there car! The mpg is good for the speed it returns, that's all we need to know ;-)

I would like to get to a couple meets this year and meet some fellow enthusiasts as I spent 9 years with a mk1 vrs all on my lonesome with no one to play with, that's my goal in 2014...

Hope its a good one for all!!!

Wrighty

Happy new year

Im so hooked on mpg readings i just cant commit full term :)

I might set a limit of no sneaky looking for a month & see how i get on from there.

People are getting bad necks from constantly looking down at their ipads & i think the same is going on with the chin down drivers always spying on their dash readouts.

I may need to go to sas extremes though & put some black tape over the readout incase i have a mid drive relapse :))

Best of luck ocd, i had a discectomy 4 hours ago & all is good, you actually have to be ocd in the recovery stage, even when i went back to work i never sat down for more than 20 minutes without getting up for a stroll.

Ive also got 2 mates that have had spinal fusion....one of them is healthy & active & gets along fine with hardly any issues......the other one is a fat inactive beer monster and he is always in agony.....read into that what you will.

I take it lowering springs isnt on your fabia wish list quite yet.

Happy New Year to all.

My New Year Resolution this year is to stop moaning about my wife and get my ban lifted.

did you go for your op today ?????

A fok i meant to type 4 years ago not 4 hours ago :giggle: , would have been pretty good going getting out and about in 4 hours, although i did get out the next day after demonstrating i could walk the halway with a stick.

1 more thing....plenty of walking...still does me good, keep moving to stop the scar tissue build up which can be problematic in itself.

oh back to skoda stuff....how much of a drop is that, im guessing 30mm?, ive been looking at the other recent thread with a 40mm drop which looks a little too low for me, maybe it's just the different wheels but yours looks an ideal drop.

Everytime you post that pic, I am drawn back to the evil temptation of spacers.

Hi noggy and thanks for your adive on the old back situation as far as the springs are concerned these are H+R 40 mm drop springs but two things here..1/.i fitted them a week before my back op back in June and im still not back to work yet so the car has not really been driven since then which is not giving the springs a chance to settle down, i think they will drop a bit more when i'm back to work and putting the miles on again.  2/ i have 16" rims on with 205/45 tyres which makes the arch gap look a bit bigger...i really want to go for 17s now but il have to wait until the coins start coming in again. cheers

Hey OCD, i like the arch gap you've got already, just my tuppence worth but i like a functional gap & think going too low looks silly.

You've confirmed it for me when i eventually lower my Monte, 40mm drop & 16's.

God knows what 16's i'd go for though, i like the vrs wheels but they're 17's.

Would be good to see a Monte not on dark wheels for a change, & low.

Tempra007 has exactly that 40mm low on Subaru wheels
