what's the Yeti like on 50 profile tyres

Featured Replies

I am currently considering a new 1.2 dsg Yeti SE spec. I have a bad back and wonder if the 17" wheels and 50 profile tyres will be like riding on a board, any views?

No problem with 50 profile tyres, ride is ok, might feel firmer with the smaller engine and two wheel drive of the 1.2 as the weight will be less than the 2.0 diesel and AWD.

Doing an extended test drive is the only real answer.

Agreed.

It's too subjective.

The 16" people will say it's hard and jittery.

Many of us think it's fine.

Noooo, that means protracted contact with Satans incompetent brother,

The Skoda dealership. EEK!

The trauma of getting the Roomster nearly put me in therapy.

Owned Yeti's with both the 17 and 16" wheel options and it is a very matter of taste and the type of road surface you regularly frequent; so as above would get a test drive.

If your going for a new FL I'd try find one of those to run round in rather than a classic Yeti, as rumour has it it might be a little different a driving experience :wonder:

TP

Which rumour is that TP?  The looks....

...or has the suspension been refettled in a cunning sort of way ? :wonder:

Exactly the same here; in fact, I think they are remarkable.

That's a positive then, the last low profiles we had were on a Scooby some years back, it cornered on rails, but the ride was harder than a hookers heart. The Sparco seats helped though. A road test around the roads of Preston, which are like some post apocalyptic third world goat track, should soon tell.
