November 17th Ordered - BW moved forward

Featured Replies

Ordered on 17th November, jJust had an update from dealer, provisional build week 18 has now moved forward to week 15, so start of April.

Spec is:

Brilliant silver hatch

Manual

Silver trim

Amundsen

Colour maxi-dot

Canton

Sunroof

Spare tyre

I'm seriously considering changing my spec from brilliant silver with silver trim to metal grey with red trim and black pack, anyone know when Skoda lock down the specification?  I'm also tempted to change to a DSG.

Cheers

The order will lock about three weeks before unconfirmed build. If you change your order the build can also be delayed, DSG is great.

I ordered 17 Nov have heard today mine is built and in transit to UK.

Race blue VRS TDI hatch minimal extras.

Ordered end of October, not showing on dealers system regarding build date today, also asked if I could add an additional option, paying cash and was told no :-(

Think you've been spun a line mate, ordered mine on 02nd Nov, build week 4, collecting it on a 14 plate and I added an my last option 4 days a go.

Think this might be dealer dependant, I was unsure about colour (still am if I'm honest) and Alex lawrie said it couldn't be changed later because of the paperwork and finance but the dealer I've ordered with is happy for me to tweak until its locked down.

@ Big P, I'm sure if you'd threatened to cancel they'd find a way

If you pay the extra at the time of changing (as I did) then the finance is unaffected.

Arnold Clark may be more flexible though.

Good to see cars coming through at a reasonable pace, I'm wondering if it's the sunroof that's delaying my order.

You ordered a Sunroof, theres optimism for you.

Ordered mine 9th November with almost all the options. Dealer called today and there was a long speech about sales higher than expected and that "everyone was put back". No build or delivery date yet and apparently the issue is with the part supply of lane assist. Hmmm...

Well mine's a vrs so has lane assist and I've been told its built and en route from factory tp the UK. Ordered 17 Nov! Dealers I guess just have to give some reason.

I too am about to change my colour option from Race Blue to Metal Grey, but cannot decide on wheel option i.e. Gemini anthracite or silver? Just curious what you and others think.

My vRS will be a petrol hatch and manual.

Have you tried the configurator on the Skoda Czech site?:- http://www.skoda-auto.cz

Personally just from looking at the two combinations I prefer the anthracite but it's pretty difficult to judge with such poor images.

What colour trim are you looking at?

Also I've posted another thread: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/300095-metal-grey/

asking about Metal Grey as I can't seem to find many non-rendered images.

Cheers

Just been on the Czech Skoda site and just like the UK site, I feel the colour representation isn't wholly accurate.

I am leaning to the anthracite as I really liked them from first seeing them but my worry is that the car will be too grey like and lacking any contrast. I have opted for the silver / grey trim and won't be changing that.

I like you images of the Superb in Metal Grey and I think these images so far are the most realist representation of Metal Grey. Thanks for that.

anthracite....I chose as I'm lazy and I reckon they will show the brake dust/grime less

The silver Gemini's might pick out the silver/grey trim quite nicely.  Hmm, now I'm even more torn between the two.

Those real world Superb images I posted are what I think are Metal Grey, I don't know for sure.  It does look like there's a huge contrast in hues depending on the lighting conditions with Metal Grey.
