HUD advice

Featured Replies

I am new to the Octavia II, so still a lot of reading around to do. A titchy bit disappointed the stereo doesn't have USB or bluetooth support. I do have a single DIN JVC with support for both, but it would be a waste to fit that in. The car does have Maxidot, if that makes a difference.

Any advice on which HUD I should look into which would offer support for both? The one currently fitted is Stream MP3, with a 6CD changer in the boot (which I don't use).

Many thanks, all.

I may be wrong but didn't think that model had been fitted to a mk2 VRS! What year is your car?

2008. You are most likely right,,,it was the closest looking photo I could find on google images.

Just checked and its the Stream mp3 fitted on mine. Apologies.

Most of the Bolero + headunits have sd card readers built in but you can add a USB port via an MDI addition but it's not (IMHO) really worth it. I'm not sure but one of the Amundsen units may have BT built in - await someone else with more knowledge!

The Amundsen does have bt built in to some of the units (Amundsen+ I believe). It just needs a mic and the bt activating with vcds.

Thanks, I'll take a look into those. Bolero looks very expensive. I'm not bothered with OEM looks, just want to retain OEM functionality as the heater controls and parking sensors seem to be integrated into the HUD.

I've considered Parrot kits, but it would look neater without the added display unit.
