Can anyone please tell me how I can find out common parts across the Skoda/VAG range.

 

I need parts for a YETI and there are very few around being broken but I was hoping Roomster / Octavia / Touran/ Golf / Audi A3 etc which are abundant may

use exactly the same parts, particularly suspension , sub frame parts etc

 

Not exactly sure which VAG cars share the same platform.

 

If anyone can assist it would be much appreciated.

Basically if the part number is the same (apart from the first two digits = 5L which are Yeti specific) then the chances are it may be the same

Someone has told me that if I can get hold of ETKA it may be possible to cross reference part numbers although there was a link on here ( that I cant' find now )

that showed Yeti Schematic diagrams with part numbers.

 

Will need to investigate further. In the meantime perhaps someone else has suggestions / advice ?

I used it when trying to find a replacement manifold flap motor for my vRS and saved myself a packet as managed to buy the part direct from VDO rather than pay the VAG inflated price!

Have just looked at the link you sent.

I choose Skoda from the long list of options and it showed various parts numbers with over 4000 pages of parts

 

How did you use it to cross reference the parts.?---or am I just being a bit dim ?-----dont answer that  : )

To use it to its full capacity you need a part number for the part you are looking for. Type that into the search then it will list other options of parts it matches and the vehicles they can be found on...
