I've been looking at these on ebay for a while - the price seems to have dropped recently, and I was wondering if anyone has used one, and what people's thoughts are on them...

Would sooner get the bonnet resprayed each year than drive around with one of those on my car.

They're not the best looking thing in the world, more suited to desert dwelling Toyota Landcruisers than urban driven Fabias.

Would never fit one on a car of mine but everyone's different.

Thx - I do around 500 miles on the motorway each week, so am trying to insure as much as I can against repairs - I don't want one if it's going to scuff the bonnet, so I'll leave it.  Glad to know about the down side before I find out first hand.

 

I am sort of drawn to the mad max looks though, but I guess I can just weld a shopping trolley to the roof instead...

If it was just the front you want to protect, then the Clear Wrap on the front works,

& there were kits for Mk1 around cheap that you can use, with some cutting.

This is what a bra is for.....

I made my own bra as I had some spare vinyl. It complements the eye brows and makes them stand out. Looked ok but the bugs are a nighmare to get off.

 

I guess they'll look better as they might match the plastic trim on your Scout.
