Eric's Poorly...................

Featured Replies

......I've driven Eric from London to home this afternoon and Eric's very poorly.

Every time you turn the Key in the Ignition there's a loud Bong and the Stop/start symbol flashes on the dash.

The only way to stop the symbol from flashing is to turn the Stop/Start system off.  (  button on dash lights up when off  )

Stop/Start  doesn't work if it's turned on or off.

Any Idea's or is it a trip to the CityGo Doctor. Eric does drive a dream and returned almost 60 mpg at a steady 65/70

Well Impressed

Sounds like your Stop/Start system is bonged.

Have you run a VCDS scan?

That would give you a definitive answer as the car has clearly logged a fault.

No scan done Richard as I don't have a VCDS. I'll pop into the dealers tomorrow and see whats up. It hasn't affected the running.

I'll keep you posted

Not sure if this'll help, but when I pull onto my drive, I leave the engine running while I open my garage door.

The stop/start kicks in and turns the engine off.

If I undo my seatbelt and open the drivers door I get the 'bongs'.

If I press the clutch to turn the engine back on (as per usual) it won't fire but keeps bonging.

It'll only re-fire if I put my seatbelt back on.

Otherwise, I have to turn the ignition off and back on again to restate the engine.

Maybe it's this, or is a fault in the seatbelt sensor...

Oh that's interesting

Bl00dy Stop / Start's working again now.  Been in touch with the dealer and it's still booked in to see if a faults been logged

Any one having problems with the Radio in a CityGo. The one in Eric keeps loosing it's signal. Some times we get no radio Stations at all.

I sometimes get poor radio reception, but I think that's down to the stubby aerial mod I did.

Apart from that it's never just lost stations like that, no

cracked fuse? loose wire?

two electrical faults says something funny afoot with wiring or relays to me,

stop start controller on my GLII is under the drivers seat I believe, if citigo is same place have you got it damp due to the poor weather and amount of condensation in the cars recently? then cleared when dried out?
