Yes I'm 62,

Head Says I'm 30 Body tells me I'm 130 (Some Days).

My "Snowman" is so easy to drive I can do 1200KM in a day, towing my Van.

If I have to.

It's not how old you are, It's what you can and want to do.

As a 65 year old , I  got a Yeti for 3 reasons, some  have had mention above.

1. A struggle to get in and out of a lower car.

2. Bigger wheels helping to iron out the potholed roads, making it easier on the old bum.

3. At a point where you go SKI. ing .

My parents told me about that.. Spending kids inheritance

They are always going on ski holidays. They just got back from one in Canada.

(Oh, and he drives a Disco 1)

Nothing wrong with "ski" holidays Mike, we are just looking at 3 weeks in Canada next year!!

I've already told her I want a trip on "The Canadian"

If you're thinking of going West, how about 'The Rocky Mountaineer'?

Are you sure it's a good idea to tell everyone, on a public forum, that you're off work long term awaiting surgery on both hands and might be medically retired from your signal box duties if it doesn't go well due to inability to do the job...........and then tell everyone you might go skiing for three weeks in Canada next year?

Bri,

Looked at that one, but we are our trip will be relative hopping mostly and one is in Toronto and then all the others are over in the West, so The Canadian will take us right across whereas The Rocky Mountaineer is only part of the way.

Stan,

You obviously missed the acronym: ski = spending the kid's inheritance!!

Nothing to do with sliding down hill on planks.

Either train would be fabulous.  The trip was ticked off on my bucket list a while back - but written in again for a second (actually, third) run.  Re relatives, how far west do you have to hop?

I'm most reassured about that...snow sports don't fit in with the rest of your persona.

Bri,

Toronto, Regina, Kimberley BC, and Vancouver, so well spread out.

We have a holiday planner working out a programme at the moment but it looks as if we might have to drive for a couple of days, probably on the Regina - Kimberley leg, which looking at the map good be quite nice. If Skoda import to Canada can I rent a Yeti?

Stan,

I'm too old to start that game. I need wheels and an engine.

However I could do the apres-ski!!

I was in Canada last year (love the place) but it seemed to be a Skoda free zone.  We rented a Mitsubishi Lancer automatic and it amazed me how bad those old slush boxes are compared to a DSG.

Since no one else has picked this up, but the last but one category, should be 75-94 not 74 to 95, but it is a larger age span than any of the others, 20 years, when the others are mostly 5 year intervals. But since it only has two votes, shouldn't skew the data too much lol...
