Where do i get them blue ones

And where does the blue ones go ?

They do the same job but may not be compatible as i just had a quick look but can't find any listed for golf mk4,there must be something to adjust the toe or if not can you just not live without the camber?

Yeah thinking gna rip off the 3sdms

Rip off the shims

Buy new adaptors

Bolt on the bbs's

As i dnt think the 9.5s will go with no camber

Or just use the 0.5 for a little nudge but dunno if can be assed

But they look so cool

:(

Just live with it for now and see how quick it eats the tires,to be honest the mileage you do i'm sure they'll last ages, don't be so negative as the cars still mint :)

Was just cos was told its dangerous mate

Was loving it until all the figures cam up

Even laughed when he tried to get it on the ramp :)

Well i suppose a lot depends on how you drive,i'm told my cars a death trap and cos of the lows, cheap coilies and tires that it will handle terrible but its not tried killing me yet,i'm sure if you drive to the speed limits and conditions that things will be fine :)

I only said it was dangerous as i had a cat d car once before. Replaced everything on it

Bushes

Shocks

Springs

Ended up it was toe-ing out on the front by 4-5 degrees (about the same as yours)

What my issue was, was if i hit a puddle the car pulled to either side as it aquaplaned. Nearly shat my pants on a few occasions

That was on the front and toe-ing out. So yours may be different being on the rear, i would certainly say its not ideal

Oh and the tyres lasted 1200miles on the front with this amount of toe. So on the rear it would last longer but not by much

Shamefully copied and pasted from the internet

Excessive toe settings often bring with them drivability problems, especially during heavy rain. This is because the daily pounding of tractor trailers on many highways leave ruts that fill with water. Since excessive toe means that each tire is pointed in a direction other than straight ahead, when the vehicle encounters a puddle that causes only one tire to lose some of its grip, the other tire's toe setting will push (excessive toe-in) or pull (excessive toe-out) the vehicle to the side. This may make the vehicle feel unsettled and very "nervous."

Thats what mine was doing and i am not joking you on a few occasions i was lucky to save it. Only happens in heavy rain

Its my rear wheels that are toeing in

Front is bang on, what i may do is , i think i could loose 1 of the shims

i'll see which i could getbaway without, it looks like the drop alone has caused a -1 degree of camber so i may even get away with just the - 0.5 ( would be nice )

Just need finds to have to fiddled wih

My work car aquaplanes at any speed above 60mph on the motorway and that's a standard LR Discovery 4. Anything with wide tyres in heavy rain will aquaplane so answer is slow down in the wet. Simple really.

I watch rain n wet anyway due to the kona filter sitting in the bumper :(

Its not aquaplaining

It becomes so unsettled over water. It loses some traction not all and thats enough for it to bite at you

Stupid cars :(

Un-cooperating feckers

Its not always down to the amount of lowering. The design of the rear suspension and beam is poor on the mk1 Octavia. I've lowered mine just a little, about 30mm so not excessive. When I took mine for a wheel alignment the fella said both rear wheels were towing in. I'm certain most peoples rear alignment will be out. Its driving fine though but I'll keep an eye on tyre wear.

Ah is it by jove

Found a old alignment for when had 29s and it showed a margin of positive ( was a poo set up tho that was used )

Its def toe in but i also dunno how much would be the 9.5j rims ?

Whether the fact its 9.5 and 8.5 front would mess up any toe readings lol

Seems ok

Except for abit of tramming at times

And no give in the tyre lol

i've never had any geometry done on mine and i'm sure everything will be miles out, plus fitted a new rack about 6 months ago and never had tracking done since, car runs straight,no uneven wear,i'm still alive so all good :)

You do far too much worrying dude for your own good.

If I was standing next to you , I would being giving yo a slap..... :bandit:  :strong:  :punch:

now here this.....

You have a mint car, one of the best if not the best on this site.

stupid low miles, Lovely looking bodywork and those wheels are to die for.

The ride height looks spot on...

Now just enjoy it, drive it, show it off, go to some shows and get great feedback   :D

Who cares about a little toe in at rear. Mine does and is low, low. The front is not bad even with camber bushes on and certainly don't drive scary.

May raise mine over weekend slightly , but know i will regret it...
