BHP retrieval

Featured Replies

I watched this youtube clip and was quite surprised at how many BHP can be recovered by very routine maintenance. See for yourselves

Interesting that the redex actually works

Remember watching this on tv when it was aired. Interesting watching. I think the car was about 1-2bhp off its quoted factory bhp after everything. Bet it probably left the factory like that anyway.

Also yes i used redex a few days after lol

Doesn't it say in user manuals not to use fuel additives?

I know it does in diesels anyway, took our M reg Audi 80 TDI into a garage a few years back and he dumped a bottle of additive in it and floored it, completely screwed it, would judder when you were going at steady speeds. Same garage did the same thing to the bosses 03 BMW too, diesel specialist couldn't diagnose it, computer was saying there was nothing wrong, both cars ended up getting sold (this is when we got our first Skoda)

It says not to use it in the 56 Jetta manual too.

I use redex or what ever is cheapest every two months or so. Worth every penny of the £3-£5 per bottle. If you used the expensive diesel that is "supposed to keep your engine clean" you pay a lot more than £5 every couple of months.

What plugs is he using for £73/6?!

What plugs is he using for £73/6?!

Vw ones at a guess, They are £12 each for the mk1 octy vrs !!

So £2.50 BOSCH ones in a VW box? :P

Also worth noting they were using 95RON fuel throughout that test.

So £2.50 BOSCH ones in a VW box? :p
