revo performance software

Featured Replies

hi thinking of getting this done on my 06 2.0l vrs.

has any one used this company ?

what is the performance ?

Revo are very expensive. Others I'd recommend who will give a more custom map are R-tech, Unicorn and US based Driver Motorsport.

I've got revo on my vrs tsi and had it on various other cars over the years. Can't fault it. All these so called custom maps are still a generic base map and tweaked slighlty....its not a one off program solely for your car! You get what you pay for. Interestingly I had a custom map on a previous car and then got revo put on it instead with a 'generic' map and the car drove better and was quicker with the revo software.

Had three revo maps now - including my VRS Tfsi. It was good but it definitely strained the drivetrain a bit too much IMO. Clutch was slipping after just 16,000 miles. Now running Shark software and there's no comparison; quality of software, designed to perform, not to make headline numbers for marketing purposes and amazing support both pre and post sale. :)

Possible the clutch was already worn? I had stage 2 software on a mk1 leon cupra r that I sold on after 3 years/86k miles and various track days. No clutch issues..only one coilpack failure which the 1.8t was famous for. Also had it a4 130tdi which covered 130k miles...no clutch issues. Current vrs 2.0tsi ive done 32k miles since getting revo (car has done 52k in total/3years old) and no issues. Must admit I drive quickly/use all the car's performance but have mechanical sympathy. No hard standing starts or dumping the clutch.

Will add that I've heard loads of good reviews about Shark as well. Best sticking to a reputable brand and pay slightly more..ie shark/ revo than someone that will do it out the back of a van for £150 imo.

I've had 2 Revo'd car's, my current k04 vRS @ 324bhp and previously an Audi S3.

I can't fault Revo in any way, recently my SPS switch packed it in and I contacted Revo who replaced it for a new switch for a very small fee,

My car has 140k miles on it and is running as good as new, acceleration is immense....

Another +1 for shark map, despite the smoothness it's overwhelmed my OE clutch after 30k, so hardly a weak performance. Similarly, no standing starts or any racing nonsense, just WOT overtaking on A road blasts.
