Hatch gas struts,,,,,,,,,

Featured Replies

Mine are about as useless as a fart in a colander, a chocolate teapot, an ashtray on a motorbike or a handbrake on a canoe at the moment frankly :( I'm off to the scrappers in the week and was wondering if any others from any other vehicles fit at all?

Answers on a postcard please or hit 'reply' and then 'post answer' :D

Do you mean the boot ones

I can do you a pair of brand new oem ones.   ;)

Just depends how much you want to spend. :D

Oh and the serious answer is Polo 9N and Ibiza 6L. ;)

I got a pair off ebay. They were cheap but a year later they are nearly worn out again. Have hit my head on the boot once or twice expecting it to be opened when in fact the struts have failed to lift it fully. I would stick with genuine ones next time.

I gave the part number off them to my local seat dealer and they are a different number to the ones used in the Ibiza...

Genuine ones.   From experience "too tough" for the job I have them for. :D

yeah, both have had it :(

Mine are so monumentally **** its unreal. Nearly knocked myself out cold last week when they decided that they only wanted to open 3/4 of the way and i lifted my head a caught it on the catch causing me to cut the back of my head. I really have no words for how crap they are. I also need some. Wouldnt mind one for the bonnet either tho.
