Variable boot floor with Canton sound?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

This has possibly been discussed already, please forgive me.

I ordered my car originally with Canton.

And have now asked for the variable boot floor to be added to my order as well.

My Dealer told me the system wont let him do it, and I phoned SUK who have also said you cant get that floor with Canton, despite the fact on the online configuration there are 2 floor options, 1 with and 1 without the canton system?

Anyone successfully ordered both canton + variable floor ?

Kind Regards,

Thanks Johh,

Yeah i remember that topic, I'm just wondering though if anyone has had a car delivered yet with both installed in the UK?

Yep, my VRS has both, works perfectly fine. Shouldn't matter if it's UK or not, since it's not relevant to RHD or LHD. But then, that's SUK for you...

If they are indeed able to sell both extras together (as you and many other people say they are) then I'd really like to hear the reason why they are advertising that they can't. :)

Surely it's good for Skoda to sell more optional extras.

Can you not get canton on an Elegance as that has the VBF as standard :wonder:

Just checked the local equipment specs as well (in Estonia) - you can get either or both as you wish.

Indeed looks to be a weird issue with SUK and no actual problem with both pieces of kit fitting in the car.

Very strange stuff, not sure how to progress if SUK even seem to insist it isn't possible what chance do i have if their getting 'computer says no' syndrome ?

Ordered estate with variable boot floot + canton and there were no problems with that. Order also succesfully accepted by factory. It's not UK ordered, but i think that doesn't matter.

I have an Elegance with Canton and variable floor. I know that there were two different floors depending on whether you had Canton specified or not (i.e. two separate options on the configurator). Go to a dealer who knows how to use their systems properly...just sounds like lack of knowledge on their behalf.

Thanks everyone for the help.

I'll contact my dealer again, and see if skoda can give them an actual reason to why it isnt letting them order it.

Must be possible. The configurator quite clearly gives the option of 'Canton Sound System for Variable boot floor'. The normal 'Canton sound system' is blanked out when you choose 'VBF', but the former Canton system remains, able to be specced.

The dealer is obviously trying to select the wrong 'Canton', and obviously not everyone in SUK realises. Go back to your dealer and point it out to him/ her that there are 2 choices able to be specced for the VBF.

I have UK spec vrs, with canton and variable boot floor, was never an issue

I've ordered the Canton and variable floor for my estate.

Oh very interesting, so at least a couple of you within the UK then, so that takes any potential issues with it being a UK order then.
